Weary

Even in the deepest valley

I know You walk with me

I feel Your Holy Spirit close

as it brings me to my knees

When faced with trials and heartache

I trust You know what’s best

So I give to You my weary heart

and ease into Your rest.

Through the Fire

Though the fire surrounds me

while Satan takes aim

I know you are with me

as I walk through these flames

Each difficult trial

I face not in vain

Only You know the purpose

so I’ll trust in Your ways

In You I claim victory

I’ve already won

The devil has been defeated,

the battle is done!

Guarded

The devil will try to destroy you
don’t believe a word that he says

Doubts and lies are all he knows

Don’t let him into your head.

But, the God you serve is greater

For the battle, you’re prepared

In His presence you are guarded

He makes the enemy run scared.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

In His Time

faith-in-his-timing

In His Time

I’ll wait on Your timing

as hard as it seems

I know that Your blessings

far outweigh my dreams

You Lord, are faithful

You’ll always provide

and whenever I need You,

You’re right by my side

Your plans are all perfect

and You know what’s best

So, take hold of my heart,

put all of my worries to rest.

The Forever Valentine

Will you be My Valentine?

I gave my life for you

I bled and died upon that cross

to give you life brand new.

Will you be My Valentine?

I’ll wipe away your tears

I’ll bear your every burden

and comfort you in fear.

If you’ll be My Valentine

I’ll be forever yours,

together for eternity

I’ve opened Heaven’s doors.

“Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.”

Hebrews 13:5

Love Enough

When my heart gets tired of waiting,

I feel Your gentle touch

as You tenderly remind me

to stop worrying so much

You know the plans You have for me,

the man You’ve set aside

Your timing is always perfect

Your ways, much better than mine

Although I get impatient,

I may plead, and beg, and cry,

I know You know what’s best for me,

and only Your Love can truly satisfy.

“Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,

that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.”

~Psalm 90:14 (NIV)

Paid in Full

Cross and Nails

Two crisscrossed tree limbs

three sharp nails

that held His body there

He shed His blood

on Calvary’s Mount

to show how much He cares

The pain He bore

was all for us

He sacrificed His life

For our home in Heaven

a life everlasting

He paid the ultimate price

Perfect Love

tumblr_lvv0eoQpO31r27e1ho1_500

Perfect Love

More than enough

His love for me

He holds me close

Welcomes me back when I flee

He cleansed my soul

It’s white like snow

His grace is unending

Like a fountain it flows

On the Cross

He bled and died

He gave His life

In exchange for mine

A glorious Savior

His perfect love

One day I’ll join Him

In Heaven above

To Seek His Face

2015/01/img_1582.jpg

A thirsty soul
seemingly hopeless
nowhere to turn
her life was a mess

She turns to a bottle
A temporary relief
she stumbles around
trying to get back on her feet

A hand-me-down Bible
her curious, aching heart
she opens it’s pages
but has no clue where to start

A tug at her heart
She drops to her knees
A calmness sets in
she knows He hears her pleas

Once broken and lost
She found love and grace
in the arms of Jesus
and His sweet, warm embrace.

If Heaven had an Address

If Heaven had an address

I’d write to you each day

Put my heart on paper

I’d know just what to say

If Heaven had an address

You’d never be alone

I’d drive right out to visit you

And make myself at home

Though Heaven has no address

We’ll soon be reunited

I’ll make my home in glory, too

Because through Jesus, we’ve all been invited.
