Guarded

The devil will try to destroy you
don’t believe a word that he says

Doubts and lies are all he knows

Don’t let him into your head.

But, the God you serve is greater

For the battle, you’re prepared

In His presence you are guarded

He makes the enemy run scared.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

*Conditions Do Not Apply

asteriskUnconditional love: affection with no limits or conditions, complete love. (Dictionary.com)

God loves you. Unconditionally. Forever, no matter what. You can’t make Him unlove you, ever. I love how the Message Bible translates Psalm 103:12.

As far as sunrise is from sunset, He has separated us from our sins.”

He has wiped them away, given us a fresh start. You don’t need to beat yourself up about a that mistake you made last year. Don’t punish yourself for your past wrong doings. God has completely forgotten about them. He sees you as His pure, perfect child.

Don’t let yourself get caught up in the *conditions apply mindset. The love of God doesn’t come with any catches. He just asks us to trust Him completely and know in our hearts that His plans are always better than ours.

“For God so loved the world, He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NIV)

It doesn’t say “that whoever is perfect,” or “that whoever doesn’t have tattoos and piercings,” “that whoever hasn’t committed a crime,” “that whoever feels worthy.” Because of the Cross, because of the Blood, four nails, a crown of thorns, unimaginable pain, we’re all worthy of His love. Don’t continue to kick yourself for something God forgave you for a long time ago.

Whoever: whatever person, any person at all.

Any person at all.

God loves you, forever and always. To the world, we’re flawed and sinful. To God, we’re perfect, pure, and holy. Just put your life in His hands and trust Him completely, you won’t regret it.

To Seek His Face

2015/01/img_1582.jpg

A thirsty soul
seemingly hopeless
nowhere to turn
her life was a mess

She turns to a bottle
A temporary relief
she stumbles around
trying to get back on her feet

A hand-me-down Bible
her curious, aching heart
she opens it’s pages
but has no clue where to start

A tug at her heart
She drops to her knees
A calmness sets in
she knows He hears her pleas

Once broken and lost
She found love and grace
in the arms of Jesus
and His sweet, warm embrace.

If Heaven had an Address

If Heaven had an address

I’d write to you each day

Put my heart on paper

I’d know just what to say

If Heaven had an address

You’d never be alone

I’d drive right out to visit you

And make myself at home

Though Heaven has no address

We’ll soon be reunited

I’ll make my home in glory, too

Because through Jesus, we’ve all been invited.

When Waiting is Hard

Godly Man  Sometimes waiting is hard, really hard. Now, more than ever, my heart longs for a Godly man to love me, stand by my side, and draw me closer to God. A man to be silly with, to cry on his shoulder, and pray with. I know that God has the perfect man set aside for me, and I’ve put my trust in Him and know that when the time is right, I’ll know exactly who that man is. There’s even a chance he’s already a part of my life and I just don’t know it yet.

When I look around at all of the wonderful examples of Godly marriages that are still overflowing with love, even years later, it encourages my heart and inspires me to suck it up and wait it out. The Lord won’t just leave me hanging and heart broken, I can feel Him preparing my heart for marriage. Whispering to me what to look for in a man and telling me not to settle just to have my Facebook profile say “In a Relationship.” No, there will not be any settling here.

I will wait for as long as it takes for the Lord to send me a man that I’ll spend the rest of my life with. I don’t want a man to love for 15, maybe 20 years. No. I want to spend the REST OF MY LIFE with the man I marry. I know we’ll disagree and our marriage won’t be anywhere near perfect, but I want a man who will always fight for me, even after we’ve fought with each other. A man who loves God more than he loves me, one who’s always willing to pray after we’ve had an argument then kiss and make up. A man who will say “I love you” until it’s nearly worn out, and who will be the Godly head of our household. I want our children to see our marriage and love for Jesus and say “I want that when I grow up.”

I know, it may seem like a lot to ask for, but don’t forget Who’s in charge here! I pray for my future husband and marriage every night. I can only hope and pray that the day it becomes a reality, those who have been watching my life, and maybe even doubting, will see that it IS worth the wait and when you put your trust in God He WILL give you the desires of your heart. Don’t lose hope, your time is coming, just keep trusting and be patient.

At Your Feet

At Your feet

I lay my burdens

I drop each trial, fear, and shame

At Your feet

My pain is lifted

Peace comes when I speak Your name

On the cross

You died for me

You shed Your blood to save my soul

So at Your feet

I humbly bow

It’s in Your presence I become whole.

Hidden in You

Colossians 3

Hidden in You

If they don’t know my name

but see Your light in my eyes

feel Your love in my touch

see Your work in my life

Then nothing else matters,

nameless I’ll stay

I live for Your glory

To bring Your name praise

Keep me hidden in You

wrap me in Your love

use my life to point others

to the Savior, above.
