A Sacrifice Unmatched

 

Betrayed by a kiss,

Beaten and bruised

Little did they know

He was telling the truth.

 

Pierced for our transgressions

A love we don’t deserve

God sent His only Son

To be the Savior of the earth.

 

As He hung upon the cross

His blood washed away our sins

Took away the guilt and shame

And cleansed us from within.

 

When the ninth hour approached

“It is finished!” He said

He gave up His spirit,

As He bowed His head.

 

The veil was torn

The earth quaked, rocks split

The Son of God, they feared

Truly this Man is it.

 

They took down His body

And laid Him in the tomb

Wrapped Him in linen

That He would shed very soon

 

On the third day after His treacherous death

Both Marys returned to His grave

Only to find the stone rolled away

And an angel, sitting where He had lay.

 

It’s Jesus you seek,

the crucified One.

don’t be afraid, He is risen!

They turned and left, stunned.

 

Death couldn’t hold Him

Just as He had said

He was beaten, insulted and mocked,

But on the third day, rose again.

 

He did this all for you and me

A sacrifice unmatched

Endured the pain upon the cross

So from our sin we’d be detached.

 

No other love can be compared

To what held Him on the cross

His blood was shed,

our lives were spared

without Him, I’m at a loss.

Crazy for Jesus

Your presence,
makes me want to jump for joy.
Your promises,
they make me want to dance.
Your love,
it makes me want to sing and shout.
I delight in Your divine romance.

I’m crazy for You Jesus,
nothing can change my mind.
The excitement that You bring to my soul,
just cannot be confined.

Your Word,
I long for it daily.
Your voice,
I live to hear.
Your grace,
it cleansed me of all of my sins
so death I no longer have to fear.

I’m crazy for You Jesus,
I want everyone to know.
No matter what this world throws at me,
I’ll never let You go.

Jesus, Please Use Me

Jesus, I want You to use me,
I give You my heart and my hands.
Use me to help light the world,
to take Your Word into all of the lands.

Many around me still need You,
help me to show them Your love,
use me to reach out to the lost,
to show them that You alone, are enough.

Not worldly possessions,
nor riches, or things,
I just want Your presence,
to You I will cling.

Jesus, please use me,
I give You my life.
I surrender completely,
Your will is my delight.

Not on my Own

I cannot do this on my own,

I need You every hour,

every minute of everyday.

I cannot do this on my own,

it’s You I need to lead the way.

Once a sinner,

now saved by Grace,

my heart aches for that

blood stained face.

I cannot do this on my own,

without You I am nothing.

It’s your name I will always praise,

even when the world tries to hush it.

In this crazy world of darkness

Your light shines bright,

Your love is strong,

because of You the enemy can’t harm us.

I cannot do this on my own,

I’m so thankful I don’t have to.

My Savior’s always by my side,

through this life I know He’ll be my guide.
