Be Still

Be StillBe Still

Be still my soul

and wait on God

His timing will never be wrong

Be still my soul

His way is right

It’s waiting that makes one strong

Be still my soul

the time will come

To see what He has in store

Be still my soul

until the day

That He finally opens that door.

“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.”

~Psalm 37:7

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Matthew 7:7-8

“Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.”

Psalm 27:14

Just as You Are

New Creation

To some this may seem like a simple post that just states the obvious, but to others it could be the nudge they need, or the words they were waiting for in order to start life with Jesus. It’s my prayer that it reaches at least one of those people.

God loves you right now, just as you are.

You don’t have to be perfect, or work to earn His love. You already have it, even if you don’t feel the same about Him. None of us are perfect. We all make mistakes, have regrets, have lived through past sins and probably even struggle with present ones. He STILL loves you.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

~John 3:16 (NKJV)

How’s your relationship with your Heavenly Father?

By no means are we supposed to be overly religious as Christians. In fact, knowing and following Jesus isn’t a “religion,” it’s a relationship. He wants you to communicate with Him, talk to Him, bring Him your burdens, cares, worries, your Joys, praises, anything! He’s listening! Like Ie want us to be involved in our community, our church, serve others, love on His people? Yes, but that’s not how we “earn” our way into His Kingdom.

He doesn’t care about your past, bring Him your broken pieces!

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”

~2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)

When you come to know Jesus, He’ll take your old, broken pieces and replace them with all new. A new, softened heart, a new way of thinking, a fresh view on life!

If you don’t already, would you like to know Jesus?

If you’ve read this post and don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus, my prayer is that it has impacted your heart enough to want one. All you have to do is say this prayer and ask Jesus into your heart and life, it’s that easy!

Dear Lord,

I admit that I’m a sinner and need Your forgiveness; I believe that Jesus Christ died in my place, paying the penalty for my sins. I am willing, right now, to turn from my sins and accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour. I commit myself to You and ask You to send the Holy Spirit into my life, to fill me, and take control, and to help me become the kind of person You want me to be. Thank you Father, for loving me. In Jesus’ name.

Once you’ve taken this step, I encourage you to find a local body of believers that will welcome you with open arms and get into His word. You’ll feel a change come ever your life that you can’t even imagine! I pray that this post has reached at least one person that needed to see these words and take them to heart. Like I mentioned before, to some of my readers this may seem like a pretty simple/obvious post, but I know someone out there needs to see these words and be encouraged by them.

Praise Him Always

I cry out to God
through each trial I face
I seek out His love
and His mighty embrace

I pray for His guidance
His light on my path
He walks right beside me
It’s His hand I grasp

He listens intently
through each bump in the road
He’s ready and willing
to lighten my load

I’ll praise His name always
through the thick and the thin
because I’ve read the ending
I know that God wins!
