Valentines Day, the Hallmark holiday that shows its face every February 14th in the form of flowers, cards, chocolates and other materialist attempts to show our love for those around us we care about. If I told you I wouldn’t want a dozen roses, or a box of chocolates from a special someone, I’d be lying, who wouldn’t? Except maybe a diabetic, or someone allergic to flowers. That’s beside the point. Did you know that the King James Version of the Bible says the word LOVE 442 times? The Message Bible says it a whole 586 times! WOW! That’s a lot of love. Do you know why? It’s because Jesus Christ is the greatest love of ALL. 1 Corinthians 13 explains to us how Christ loves us and how we should strive to love the people in our lives. It’s a perfect love. Without love, we are nothing. Jesus’ love never fails. He died and shed His blood on the cross for you, to save you from your sins. Do you love Him back with even a small percentage of that same passion? Take a minute to reflect on John 3:16 today, and everyday. Just remember, Christ’s love is eternal, there’s NOTHING you can do to make Him stop loving you. Take a second to thank Him, for His unending love, as you celebrate your love of the ones around you on Valentines Day. Happy Valentines Day everyone!
